1. Shut off the water and empty the tap

Does your COOXS outdoor kitchen have a tap with a water connection and is it exposed to frost? Then take the following steps:

1. Shut off the main water supply to the outdoor kitchen

2. Drain the tap as much as possible by opening it

3. Close the filter stop valves in the sink cabinet, under the tap

4. Disconnect the supply hoses from the tap from the filter stop valves and let them drain

5. Reconnect the supply hoses to the filter stop valves

* Do you have a boiler in your outdoor kitchen? Then it must be completely disconnected and stored in a frost-free space.

2. Turn off the refrigerator and empty it

CASO: If you have a CASO refrigerator, you need to turn it off by unplugging it from the outlet. Often, you can find this plug in the cabinet next to it. After that, make sure there are no items left in the fridge that can freeze (such as drinks).

Fhiaba: If you have a Fhiaba refrigerator, you can turn it off by pressing the On/Off button on the control panel for 2 seconds until the light turns red. After that, make sure there are no items left in the fridge that can freeze (such as drinks).

* You can identify the brand/type of your refrigerator on the glass door or the control panel of the fridge.

3. Other maintenance

Preparing for winter is also the perfect time for other maintenance of your COOXS outdoor kitchen. Since the outdoor kitchen is designed to be low maintenance, this is easy. Here's what we recommend:

1. Adjusting the doors: you can adjust the hinges of the doors in height and depth with a Phillips screwdriver.

2. Adjusting the drawers: relieve the tension of the drawer front by slightly loosening the 2 bolts on the left and 2 bolts on the right. Then adjust the height using the two hex bolts at the bottom of the drawer, and adjust the depth by manually positioning the drawer front correctly. Finally, secure the front by tightening the bolts on the left and right.

3. Polishing the kitchen: thoroughly clean your outdoor kitchen, especially if it is located in a coastal environment. This protects the coating for the long term.

4. Have your barbecue deep-cleaned. You can clean the barbecue yourself, but you can also outsource it to a specialized party, such BBQ-SPA.
